Maisy gained a Masters degree in Applied Linguistics. She is a full member of The Chartered Institute of Linguists (CIoL) and The Institute of Translation and Interpreting (ITI) in the UK. Her dedication to assist in effective cross-cultural communication both in written and spoken Chinese spans over a decade. She works as a translator/proofreader (owns translation memory software SDL Trados Studio 2022) and copywriter/transcreator. She also provides desk top publishing services using Adobe Acrobat, Dreamwaver, Illustrator and Indesign. Maisy is proud to have donated time to help in the Against Malaria Campaign to translate their website into Chinese. Recent organisations/ companies worked for: NHS, BBC, BP, Shell, Microsoft, FSA, HSBC, Channel 5, Siemens, Visit Britain, Virgin Atlantic, The Compliance Alliance and Duestche Bank. Maisy is represented by a number of voice-over agencies for advertisements, corporate videos, documentaries, lipsync/ADR and IVR voice prompts. She is an excellent sight-reader and her natural voice is persuasive, warm, sensitive and serene.
